Multi-Agency Audits

As a partnership, we are committed to reviewing our practice to recognise good practice, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen how we safeguard children and young people in Surrey.

Multi-agency audits are a key part of this commitment. They help us understand what works well across the system and where we can improve.

Who Leads the Audits?

The Performance, Assurance and Scrutiny (PAS) Sub-group, operating under the Surrey Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) arrangements, coordinates and delivers multi-agency audits. These audits evaluate safeguarding practice across the partnership against agreed themes and priorities.

The partnership aims to complete two to three audits per year, based on agreement with the SSCP Executive.

Understanding the Audit Process

We’ve created a visual overview to explain each stage of the audit process. This is designed to help partners know what to expect when participating in an audit and how their contributions fit into the wider safeguarding picture.

Engagement from all partners is vital to ensure audits reflect a diverse range of experiences, perspectives, and practice across the system.

Sharing Learning from Audits

Below are summaries from our completed audits. These resources are designed to support reflection, shared learning, and continuous improvement across the partnership.
